From Pottery Mound you will see a mural painting of a shield depicting perhaps turkey feathers that I noticed
rendered in
trompe l'oeil---the 1st, the only mural in this style in the prehistoric SW-USA and perhaps the prehistoric western
hemisphere (I'm not sure here without seeing every one, but haven't seen one yet).   
The field drawings didn't capture it, BUT the field photos do...see attached below

The Sikyatki pot with hand having 'bird-like' 3D on wrist as seen in my DATURA pdf page 22 as well as the
#75786-same page- are the 1st and 2nd such examples noticed in the archaeological record-of trompe l'oeil on
ceramics to the best of my knowledge...'tho there may be some in
meso-America??.
